Christmas Concert open to all
All members of the community are warmly invited to begin the festive season surrounded by yuletide caroling at the returning St Andrews Uniting Church Christmas Concert.
This year’s melodies will consist of a range of traditional pieces, popular Christmas hits, contemporay arrangements and older Christmas jingles performed by numerous local talents.
Organist Gavin Cuff will perform a duet with Natalie Wardrop, followed by perfomances from local talents Andy and David Steed, Chris Hadwen, Geoff and Meryl James and Paul Flowers.
The church’s Glenda Rowland said the annual event is a space where everyone can enjoy the talent of local singers and musicians, and experience the excitement of another Christmas approaching.
“It’s a time to mark the start of advent by bringing people together with feel-good festivities,” she said.
“This Christmas concert has always been a brilliant celebration of local musicians and amazing voices. The first week of advent symbolises hope, and it’s a wholesome afternoon where people can enjoy themselves, and look forward to the start of Christmas together.”
The event will also have the presentation of the Shirley Lewis award to a secondary student in Maryborough, a special presentation promoting the musical talents of local young people and to support their musical endevours.
The concert will begin at 1.30 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at St Andrew’s Uniting Church, at the corner of Neill and Palmerston streets, Maryborough.
Admission is $10, with money going towards the Uniting Church, and an afternoon tea to follow.
