Venture Care to host open day
Venture Care Support Services running garage sale and open day this weekend.

Venture Care Support Services (VCSS) are set to throw open the doors for a garage sale and open day this weekend, as part of their celebration for International Day of People with Disability.
The business consulted with their clients about activities they would like to participate in to celebrate the international occasion, with garage sales and markets firm favourites.
VCSS will be holding an open day with garage sale tables, stalls, food, coffee and gelato along with the Carisbrook Lions Club sausage sizzle and Maryborough RDP pop up shop.
The open day is a community event open to all, giving VCSS clients and the community a chance to come together and celebrate inclusively.
“This initiative is a wonderful way to network and connect. Enabling people to participate in an activity such as this contributes immensely to their mental health and wellbeing,” Central Goldfields Shire deputy mayor Anna De Villiers said.
“Being able to connect socially participating in an activity they enjoy such as selling their collectibles reinforces their inclusion in the community.”
VCSS client Helen Dann is one of the many looking forward to the coming event.
“This is a good idea, garage sales are my favourite thing and I’m looking forward to being here on Saturday with Mr Nobody (Helen’s pet rabbit),” she said.
The open day will be held at Vault Storage, located at 62 Sutton Road, Maryborough on Saturday, November 29 from 9 am until 12.30 pm.
Anyone interested in setting up a stall themselves is welcome; there is no charge.
